Stefan Menth
M Sc in computer science at ETH Zurich in 1991. After the diploma, he was employed by ABB Corporate Research in Baden-Dättwil and also by the Power Electronic Systems Laboratory of ETH Zurich to do his Ph.D. Thesis there in the field of adhesion optimised control of railway propulsion systems (completed 1998). Between 1998 and 2003, he worked for Adtranz and Bombardier Transportation in Zurich as the group leader for calculation and simulation of the traction chain for electrical locomotives. He was also responsible for special tasks in the commissioning support of various vehicles. Together with a team, he further developed and implemented the control strategies originating from the Ph.D. thesis. He has done a post graduate study in at ETH Zurich. Special experience in control techniques as well as in the definition, performance and evaluation of measurement work.
Markus Meyer
M Sc in electrical engineering at ETH Zurich in 1988. Until 1997 he was a research assistant (Ph.D. thesis 1996 on active interference current filters) and senior assistant at the Power Electronic Systems Laboratory at ETH Zurich. During this same period, he worked on various railway related projects. In 1996 and 1997, he collaborated with ABB Corporate Research in Baden-Dättwil on electrical system compatibility of rail vehicles. Between 1998 and 2003, he worked at Adtranz and Bombardier Transportation in Zurich in traction chain engineering for locomotives as leader for propulsion system questions. He has worked for various research, development and customer projects, with a main focus on electrical system compatibility, energy consumption and optimised driving, thermal analysis of the traction chain and fleet studies. Special experience in international projects with complex technical contents.
Markus Lerjen
M Sc in electrical engineering at ETH Zurich in 1997. From 1997 to 2007 he worked for Adtranz and Bombardier Transportation in Turgi as software engineer for drive control units, from 1998 on as product manager for drive control hard- and software. Collaboration with Stefan Menth on implementation and test of a traction optimised motorcontrol. From 2000 on team leader in project execution for drive control units. 2004 to 2007 international project manager for the development of the latest generation of drive control hard- and software for the complete application range in Bombardier (Low-, Medium- an High-Power Propulsion). Since April 2007 part of
